PC Peripherals Performance/Gaming PC

Hi ... I m talking abt Megahalems in push-pull config ... and my RAM is Newegg.com - OCZ Reaper HPC 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model OCZ3RPR1866C9LV6GK - Desktop Memory

This RAM is almost 65mm tall and when installing Megahalems on UD5 in push-pull, pushing fan just comes on top of first RAM slot and Megahalem is not giving that much space :(

Please just help me to choose between DFI LP UT X58 and ASUS P6T Deluxe V2

I m worried about PWM area temperature in case of DFI otherwise it seems very good against ASUS in almost all features.

Hey who says on gigabyte UD5 you cannot install Megahalem CPU cooler. check this out. This is the Megahalem review by a TE member.

Prolimatech Megahalems CPU Cooler Review - TechEnclave

I am sure Megahalem i.e 6x2GB of tall RAM can be installed on UD5 mobo. what say guys.

Greetings !!!

At last I have chosen mobo and I'll go with DFI. Yes, high PWM temperature is issue but will try to get rid of it :eek:hyeah: (In future I'll be adding Intel GT Ethernet and most probably RAID card, so for that DFI one has better layout. And for Intel VT-d full support too :))

So here is my final config :D

Intel i7 920 D0

Prolimatech Megahalems (with CoolerMaster fans temporary)

DFI LANParty UT X58-T3eH8

Corsair XMS TR3X3G1333C9 (temporary, will upgrade to OCZ Reaper 6GB)

Corsair TX750 750W

Cooler Master HAF 922

XFX GTX 280 GX-280N-ZDF9

Dell SP2208WFP LCD

Samsung DVD-RW

Logitech Keyboard and Mouse

Seagate 500GB PATA HDD (temporary, will upgrade to WD Caviar Black 1TB or RAID-0 of WD Caviar Black 1TB)

If you have any suggestions, please give. :hap2: It's not too late yet

Regards,

Kekerode
