Linux PerlMon: The Cpu-z Alternative

I was searching around for an alternative of Cpu-z for linux.

This is what I found that comes closest to it.

PerlMon

Download Source Package:

PerlMon-0.2.0.zip

Installation:

unzip PerlMon-*.zip

cd PerlMon-0.2.0/

sudo perl Installer

Run:

$ perlmon

some problem with probing temps... not a good job there.

and memory timings not available.

rest is fine.

its made by a group of techies from some other forum..

Huh Ubuntu 8.04 too non responsive and buggy.. Darn it.. I am dying to get a new OS..btw thats my temp. HDD , using it as my HDD 80Gb is having some problem

This s/w doesn't work in SUSE 11.0 . I even installed perl-gtk2 to satisfy the dependencies but all in vain !
