The demo is out!!!!

Clocks in at 1.1GB. Get it through this torrent, well seeded. Got it in about 1.5 hrs yesterday.

First impressions

+ Game has slowed down. More towards PES5 speed. :hap2:

+ The annoying 2-3 second wait for the referee to blow his whistle is no more

+ Tackling feels very satisfying.

+ The keepers have improved.

+ You can't run through the opposition team with Messi/CR7

+ Simple quick Menu's (no scrolling like in 2008)

+ The ball does not 'teleport' from flank to flank.

+ True Manual player switching, can lead to great moves if I can master it. :P

- Keepers haven't improved as much as I like.

- The animations for turning seem a bit odd. Maybe I have to get used to them.

- Still no 16:10 resolutions supported.

The demo is only for 5 minute games.:( Hope someone patches it soon. From what I have seen online, it is said that the file structure is similar to PES 2008. There should be patches out really soon after the game's release.

Will post more impressions and screen shots later.
 
Im going to buy Fifa 09 this time for my PS, PES just doesnt seem to be that good this time..Fifa has really improved their gameplay too imo.
 
Nice , but i am not gonna try it as FIFA 09 has already been released :P

Btw , this demo is NO pirated content , it's released officially for free so there should be no problem in posting it here .

Yeah, but for people like me without a PS3/XboX360, PES is the only option. (FIFA 09 PC is running on the old engine and is really really crap).

BTW is PES09 going to be the same for PC and PS3 like PES08 was?

Yeah, it will be mostly the same. Seabass stated in an interview last year that primary development was done on the PC.
 
Wat i feel based on the demo:

+ Graphic looks better than 2008

+ Gameplay is smoother than 2008, at least with my system.

+ I Like the menu, seems very light

Don't know if these are only with my system, but here are the minus points..

- Passing is ok but dribble is real slow as well as the shots. when u shoot, the ball flies like a feather would..almost floating..:huh:

- Resolution max at 1280x720 :huh: , wat the heck, or is it cos it's a demo?

That's all for now, waiting for the final release.
 
Based on what I feel after playing a ManU vs Barca game.

Gameplay is much smoohter than in 2008.

Graphics are slightly FIFA'ish, i.e. u see kinda patches on players faces,hands etc.

Some stats are screwed, Henry runs at the same speed as brown,lol.

Hafta play more to make more sense of the game, and as proven earlier, gameplay of demo and the real deal can be slightly different.

Chuffed about the legend mode, looks very exciting.

Hope they fixed the master league too, by not putting teams like Besiktas and Copenhagen when a player starts a fresh ML Campaign.
 
Unfortunately, gameplay isn't too smooth on my rig.. gets choppy for a few seconds after every couple of minutes.

maybe your pc is slow. :P

i have observed that generally the demos play a bit slower and isnt as smooth as the final version. so ill just be waiting for the full game to release.
 
I have attached a file to increase the Demo time. I think Penalty shootouts have also been added.
Mods: I am not sure whether this is legal or not since this is not the way Konami may have wanted people to play this game. Please remove this post if it is so and accept my apology.
