So, I love animals. I came across this PETA site that is giving away free stickers to promote compassion for animals.

I dont know if I should say this or not, but there is vast difference between what PeTA says and does. I was shocked to read that they have a staggering 97% euthanasia rate. 97% of the animals that dont get adopted are just killed. (This is according to PeTA's own filings). The reason they claim is that they dont have the resources to look after the animals which dont get adopted. I find this hard to believe. PeTA gets almost $30 million in donations in one year. There are organisations in India that make do with far less resources and yet dont resort to killing animals.

Anyway, I respect and share OPs enthusiasm for animals. :)

they should have given those cabbage and leaf/banner clothed model posters instead of these lame stickers.
 
All PETA does is run fear and shock campaign, they are batshit crazy.

FACT : More animals are put down by PETA than by other animal organisations.

I don't want your reviews about PETA or it's models and ad campaigns people... :|

I am a vegetarian and I love Animals. Even if PETA does just 1% of what it claims to do, It is a big deal according to me.

What do we trollers do for the poor animals neway (apart from eating them and making fun of it!)...??

I am not asking you to be vegetarian or anything.

Do what you want. But if you eat chicken, atleast don't be cruel to other animals.

In any case, Animals are far better than humans... They don't need moderation, policing, law and courts atleast... :@
 
Anything wrong in being a non-veg according to PETA? Since when having non veg is deemed as unhealthy (well, there are many non-veg items and all, but there also good source of food as well).

Honestly, they should concentrate more on endangered species being hunted down and animals being killed for being someone's coat and especially using endangered animals for food and medicines. But if you touch my chicken then you're gonna get hurt!

Even animals eat meat from another animals- so will PETA boys and girls make them vegeterians as well? Just because "Tony the tiger" from frosted flakes and "chester the Cheetah" of cheetos eat veg food (lol), doesn't mean other animals have to.
 
Don't get touchy mate, there is no need of you or the others liking each others view but the discussion going on is very interesting indeed, if peta is killing the animals then I demand to know if those killed animals are being sent to restaurants ;)
 
i wonder how looking at naked women is going to make me a vegan? actually it will push me more to the other side so that i can look at more women stripping ... flawed logic
 
@nehaladsul: Try to relax and take it easy. I do respect your views about animals, and I beleive you'd do the same to those who have different opinions.

There would be individuals with varied tastes, upbringing, culture, preferences thats why they are individuals. Enforcing one's views or voicing them in a strong manner without a saleable/scientific/correct justification would only invite coments like on this thread.

@mods: Is there a way to move threads like this to FE? We do have whole dedicated forum for non-tech stuff don't we? Why not maintain sanctity of this forum?
