Philips 5106k query and facts?

Hi Friends,

Most of Members here suggest me to buy Phllips 5106k DVD Player.
While it is a fact that Philips pull out this Model out of Market. Can any one please explain me why Philips Pull Out Such Highly Successful Model?

Is 5106k have 5.1 channel so any one can put additional Home Theater Speakers latter.?

Can any one suggest me New Philips models from there site

Now,since the Philips 5106K is pulled out from the market & possibly replaced by the NEW Model DVD DivX Player DVP3046/94 ,my question is Do any of the members here have it??? or are there any reviews to this Model???

Plz do comment on this Model as I might be trying 2 get this piece 3046/94 instead of 5106K/97 in place of my un-repariable 6402K Divx DVD-payer which is still left unrepaired in the company Philips service center & if NOW,the Co decides to replace that by a New piece!
So,thinking if i do go for this model,will it be all OK,since the 5106K is taken out from the market,guarantee/parts availability in future will b once again a problem & More so,'coz models similar 2 DVP3046 r in the developed mkts of UK & USA! So what will the BEST for Me?

I Have owned a 5106k for the last 5 months and never did I get a 5.1 sound output, I am not sure if it is because of the settings, But the DVD player recoganises the Disk as 3.1 whereas when I play it in the laptop, it says 5.1 dts.. this is just my opinion about it....

Same player as 5106/5100 imho. Same chipset mtk1389. Still carry a test divx/xvid cd/dvd to the shop and test it before purchasing the player.
