Phone + DSLR from Hong Kong

Hey,
I will be going to Hong Kong sometime next week.
I need to pick up a DSLR and an Android phone.
For the DSLR I was thinking about the Canon 550D or 500D
Prices in Mumbai -
550d with 18-55 IS Lens = 44,500Rs
500d with 18-55 IS Lens = 34,000Rs
I will be sticking with the kit lens as of now.

The phone, I liked the samsung galaxy s alot, until I got the news that samsung has launched the nexus s - similar specs with a flash but no expandable memory.
Has it been launched in India ?

Can you'll help me find a website that has upto date pricing on such products in hong kong so I could see if its worth picking up the cam and phone from HK.

Canon 550D with 18-55mm Kit Lens is available for 43k with 2 years Canon India Warranty in Mumbai...my friend recently purchased this cam from Jumbo Electronics, Inorbit, Vashi for this price with 9 Months EMI option...44.5k is kinda high for 550D.

There's a little/no difference in prices from India...

Yesterday's Croma delhi Prices were

Canon 500D with 18-55mm -33,770

Canon 550D with 18-55mm -43,990

Is it advisable to get camera frm HK/Singapore ??

With Singpore/Cameras having only 1 yr warranty and Indian one having 2 yrs warranty.

hey guys.. the 550D is about 39k in hong kong.. thats abt 4-5k diff .. is it worth picking up the cam from hk ?

I will say...buy from India itself with 2 year Canon warranty and have peace of mind

upto 550D price diff is almost negligible taking into consideration local warranty...its only when you move beyond 60D that price diff bcomes tempting

@pixel Samsung Nexus S is not released in india yet, Will be here by end of feb for about 25k! I dont think there wil be a substantial price difference btw HK and India cos its a pretty new release there also!
