Questions:-
1. Budget?
A: 15k - 20k

2. Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar

3. Preferred display type?
A: TFT, AMOLED (not too stickler about this as it's for my mom) (also no big screens sizes, 4'' or less preferable)

4. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: Nokia (Im not too keen on chunky big Samsung ones) Maybe Sony(although I had a very bad experience with the Sony Aino, though Im sure the picture has changed now with the advent of Android)

5. Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen

6. Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Atleast 5MP, autofocus. This is the main area of concern as she wants a good camera. Flash is not a must. Low light phone pics are not of the best quality anyway.

7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android

8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G, Wifi

9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Camera, mails and internet. No music requirement as such.

10. Any other requirements?
A: Don't require dual sim, battery life should be good. Interface should be smooth with no lag. She doesn't really use any hardware hogging apps.

11. If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
A: Nokia Lumia 720

I picked up some key words from your post :
Awesome Camera
No dual sim
Good Battery life
no lag OS
LOW LIGHT PHOTOGRAPHY
Budget - 15-17k

Apart from 1 thing i.e preferred OS as android best phone is NOKIA 720.
You should have not opened this thread and went straight ahead to ebay site and bought it off. :D

without doubt go for 720.
1.your mom gonna get used to the windows UI than android
2.camera is main concern, nothing beats 720 on that price tag
3.interface is butter smooth and no hang or whatsoever

Is the Lumia really worth all the hype ? - [I lost faith with Nokia quite some time ago]

Is the 512MB RAM sufficient in todays world ?

Can temp files be easily cleared from the internal storage ?
