Phone suggestions for a budget of MAXIMUM 10k

hey all.....i want to buy a phone for my girl with a maximum budget of 10k
I will be buying the phone tomorrow
I am really sorry for such a short notice period
I am looking for phones with the following features
Good sound output
goodcamera
good build quality(chancesare that the phone will be dropped a lot)
decent battery life
A QWERTY keypad is what she wants but would not mind a good touch screen phone for that budget
no constraints on the operating sytem on it
She is against touch screens cos she has already tried a dual sim samsung touch screen which was already pathetic to start with
The phones that i have narrowed down on are

Blackberry curve 8520
LG optimus one(thats my choice n definitely not hers)
sony ericsson ELM and HAZEL
HTC explorer

i only know that the optimus one is one hell of a phone

Which one do you people suggest from the list above
Any other suggestions are also welcome
She is definitely against NOKIA C3,E5 and C5 snce her friends have those :p:p:p

What I said and what you meant were two different things.

You are considering the memory management technique of Android to be similar to that of desktop Windows or Symbian or other mobile OS's, where more the free RAM , better is the performance.

But the Android technique is opposite to those. It keeps the applications in memory on purpose. So lesser the amount of free RAM in an Android phone, better will be its performance. This is because most of apps are already loaded in memory and it can be accessed much more quickly from RAM rather than accessing it from Internal memory which is slower than the RAM.

This is the reason, Task Managers are not required in Android. And using task managers causes more battery drain rather than helping in reducing battery life.

Samsung Galaxy Y
LG Optimus Net
Samsung Galaxy Pop
Nokia 500
Here LG Optimus Net will be best option.
