Budget 15-20K Phone to gift in May

Kids are growing fast, nowadays. Yup, my daughter still not have any phone though she is going for higher study in college after completing XII in coming May-14. On promissory note, She never complained:angelic: on this all the time, though her colleagues having various phones & thats why we (me+spouse) much keen to give her best phone she always cherish...

1. Budget?
A: 15k +/- 2k.
2. Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar
3. Preferred display type?
A: best option in their range/class
4. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: open but NO unpopuler new OR old wague company pl.
5. Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen
6. Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Powerful front & rear camera for snaps, video recording & V-chat. Flash-Yes.
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android
8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 2Gand 3G-both & Wifi (Unlimited BSNL Combo plan at home:))
9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Phone main usages in order: (1) decent music player & FM, (2) powerful camera(photo/video/V-chat), (3) advance gaming/application & (4) fast browsing ...mails and internet to view study material videos online.
10. Any other requirements?
A: Dual SIM is secondary as wish to give dedicated phone...But, sleek & slim, handy to girl hand!
11. If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
A: None
As title says, need to buy phone in May first or April last week only. Thanks for reading.

Moto G.

1) Only other contender is Xperia L, but only has a better cam with a dedicated button. The overall gap is still wide.

2) Since the kid never complained, get the Moto G which ll cost <15k. (lesser if ordered now and availed of cashback), Make sure you purchase the set with all necessary accessories to make up to the kid. Get the screen protector and extra back panels or flip covers or combo of one each (i suggest Royal Blue and Lime colours humbly)

3) Few members who ordered here noticed small issues and even though confirmation of replacement was communicated instantly, FK took its own sweet time to get them the new sets.
So take that scenario into consideration and order well in time to make sure she gets a good set.

Moto G indeed lightening bright but external memory, fix battery, single SIM (though not target feature) are resistable.

Surprisingly, Z10 at par:eek: very annoying to Moto G with 2GB RAM, Camera, Full HD, 355PPI, 64GB expandable ext. storage. I like most Z10 features are 21Mbps super speed and newer -3G+HSPA+ network though its introduced quite earlier than Moto G. Impressive.

Lenovo S920 is next to Z10 with Full HD, 2SIM & battery compartments.

Lumia 720: can't consider as RAM,Resolution,PPI & Win phone limitation. so out of frame now.

Still wondering if I could get more option!? Experts on board, pl bid.

Moto G, BB Z10, Lenovo s920 are recommended till now.

A: Prime requirement to take good quality snaps, videos & V-Chat. With Flash.

7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc). A: Andorid first

8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc). A: 2G & 3G. Wifi browsing during home (having unlimited BSNL plan)

9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: To grab high end Music player, Camera, Social networking & speedy browising for study material

10. Any other requirements? A: Dual sim optionally. HDMI/NFC/DLNA but not mandatory.

11. If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
A: Moto-G, Lenovo S920, BB Z-10 till the last posts hacked in recent TE crash. Also having Micromax Magnus A117 in mind, not sure though.

Wish to buy in last April/first May month to daughter who going for higher college study.

BLackberry Z10 because:

Z10 is 4G phone
Z10 screen has better pixel density
Z10 Has card slot, AND DEFAULT 16 GB memory, while Moto G cheapest version jusst 8.
Z10 has NFC
Z10 has better camera(s) (8 mpix vs 5; 1080p vs 720p)
Z10 has better CPU; GPU; OS (

) and overall phone experience.
MotoG has FM radio and slightly better battery, but I am not sure, if 200 mah will make a difference due to different OS'es...
