We all know that phones are usually cheaper online compared to the stores? But I dont know how.I dont know the nitty-gritties? care to explain?One reason could be bulk prices I think.

There have been cases of manufacturers actually refusing to honor warranty, though never heard one about mobile phones. Here's a good read about the pricing model:

So basically it is not about if its "cheaper" rather its in hopes that you trust the e-tailer that you can give them profit on some other items. It is not simply about undercutting competitors.
