photos damaged?

hey guys,

my dad had some sort of virus in his camera memory card...now when the camera was

connected with my netbook ...the virus got transfered to the netbook somehow

and then every picture in the netbook had a japenese/chinese/korean girl photo as the icon including "My

computer".

scanned the whole netbook with NOD32 and got some win32 worms and a autorun

variant-quarantined

the icons became normal after that

now the problem is that some of the picture's are showing themselves "invalid" in

PICASA and "no preview available" is WIN fax viewer.

are the pictures damaged forever or came be recovered somehow?

please help because they were really precious photos:(
 
you can try recovering all your data from your memory card through EASEUS DATA RECOVERY WIZARD PROFESSIONAL

i have myself used this software and i was able to recover data of 3yrs

the mmc was of 2gb and i recovered data of around 15gb
 
Did the anti-virus make any changes to the image files by any chance? If the virus was in the image files then NOD would try to 'clean' them by removing only the virus part which might cause issues if the 'cleaned' file is not proper. What is the file type of the corrupt images?

Check the last-modified time for the images which appear corrupt and if posible upload a sample corrupt image which might help others to suggest you options to recover them.
 
okay guys...the scene has changed !

no photos were damaged by this japanese virus:ashamed:...i was looking at some pre-damaged pics which too were damaged by the killing work of NOD32 ! SORRY

happend what that NOD32 detected a virus in the autorun of the card and cleaned it(2 mnths ago)....when i tried to browse the photos by the camera/computer....it was "file error"! all the way

from then the damaged photos are stored in my lappy and the card has gone dead-it stores some photos for a while and then the photos go corrupt inside it!:(

suggestions on how to get the card working and the photos repaired(if possible)
