Pings increased abnormally today on my Airtel 512kbps connection.

I use my airtel 512kbps connection normally for facebook and counter strike 1.6.today I got kicked off a number of servers(all Indian) due to high ping.I went and checked my ping and lo... it's 5 times the normal.Whenever I test on pingtest.net I get pings of ~50ms .Today's it's nearly 260.What should I do.please help.

this always happens on airtel. (on and off).

I posted the same issue a while back,but no one replied.
