I have recently taken mtnl triband night unlimited connection, while its good since i get a dload speed of 25 kb\s constantly, my problem is that the pings r really bad. I get around 130-150 ping to most servers. Gaming is one of the reasons i took the connection.I am thinking to go for another connection which gives good pings for gamin and is cheap. Sumthin like a limited hours package so i can use triband for dloads and this connection for gamin. Could u ppl help me select an isp for this purpose.

Even i have the same problem... i sometimes get download speeds in excexx of 40 KBPS on BSNL data one but pings are pathetic... The problem is not with MTNL/BSNL but the ADSL technology itself... It is the triband which makes the pings really low... Cant talk more tchnical but i hope you got the idea...

yup the problem is with routing, atleast in india it is. I get pungs of 65-80 in sg servers and i got pings of arnd 40 in funky's CS server.

exatt and Sify( i know many people hate them for their download limit but their speed on 128K and 256K is damn good.).
I get super low pings on most of the servers.
sgwargames server are 50-80 and japanise servers too below 100.
EU servers usually 100-120. US East coast server usually 130-140. US west coast servers 160-170.
And i have my own server to play with now

Even igate pings are awesome.I get around 40 ms on pagn.net and also around 100-140ms on European servers
