IF IT SHOWS UP ON A SCREENSHOT IT CANNOT BE DUE TO THE MONITOR!!!!!. Only if that pic is like that on a digicam and NOT on the screenshot can u say it is the monitor.
Your video card memory is dying/dead. If its in warranty, get it changed. As kingy said, a problem with the monitor won't show up in screenshots. Your monitor is fine!

Anyway card dying... looks like i gotta talk to eddy then. Its 1 year old sapphire r9600 pro.
Btw i have internal tv tuner but that was working fine since ages with present setup. Could this be caused by bad power or something? My UPS had broken down and while that was the case i was on direct supply. Now that i think, this started happening after that.
i had actually disabled the runtime to start. restarted it and the probs gone. Beats me.. was working ok till 2 days back and its close to 3 months i did that.
Anyway on blady's reco me upgrading drivers and making a vow not to tinker with ati drivers again
