Pinnacle spike guard/surge protector?

How is the quality for those spike guards/ surge protectors?
Was looking for the mx ones but they are expensive around 375 /- locally.
The pinnacle ones cost just about 100 bucks. Looks wise nothing different.
Planning to use it with my samsung 40D550.
Else which shop in lamington has the mx ones and at what cost?
 
for mumbai buyers go for the super pro (comes in Red blister packing) brand, its far better than MNC makes such as Belkins (eco series).Its highly recommended.
