hello guys, Have an idea to get this one. I am already a proud owner of pioneer DV-380 and it performs well. But since i need USB support and my existing player is getting older, want to get a new one.
Is it available in Chennai ?.

Any users of this one. Plz pour your suggestions..

FYI It has USB, HDMI, etc.,

Pioneer USA - Pioneer DVD Players

Plz refer the above link and tell guys..

I am using the pioneer dv220 for a while. It's a very good universal dvd player (HDMI + USB). Price 4.5k. Upscaling is decent. PQ good for most of the media.

I have a query about this DVD Player.
Is it Region Free? And what is the length of HDMI cable that comes with it?

Means can I play DVD's from different regions(US,Europe,ASIA,etc..) without need to change Region Code ?
Region Locked DVD Players allow changing region only 5 times.
Also is DV-420 available anywhere in India?
Please reply.

Thanks.

The player may not be region free, but most dealers will have a service remote with which the player can be made Region Free. When you enquire at any dealer, please enquire about this too. Also, you can take different region DVD's to test once the player is made region free.

Shiny silver toggle-disc on the front panel with the functions: The reason why I like this control - playing audio CD. Why manufacturers of other models have to remove all the buttons from the front panel?? I inserted CD, standing in front of it, wanting to play, say, song # 3, but I can't! Instead, I have to go and get a remote and then find and press tiny Next/Prev buttons. With this Pioneer I can skip back and forth, using that control on the front panel.
Remembers where I stopped DVD movie - even after I have removed and re-inserted the disc again.
USB input (not much for me, I'm not playing from USB memory stick, and computer files I can play directly from my computer to TV, but may be I'll need that USB some day).
Bright red LED indicator (Hmm.. - not sure it has to be that bright and red, since it's virtually useless, see below).
Thanks...
