hey guys.

going to banglore for a 3days visit along with my dad, though dad will be busy with office work..i got 3 days to kill in banglore n it will be i,me n myself touring the places.

so guys from banglore suggest some sightseeing places n some good restaurants to visit in three days.

and also can i make a trip to mysore within those three days to visit mysore palace n other places nearby?

thanks :)

Even with bus it can be done, but you'll waste a few hours traveling and would have to cut short on some places - you can extend it to 2 days to cover everything. What kind of places would you like to visit? Both in Bangalore and Mysore. You can cover a lot in 3 days time.

Mostly into historical places/museums / sightseeing...not interested in mall n stuff.
N being a foodie would love to have local flavour food.:)

Take a morning bus to Mysore. Get a day bus pass there, visit chamundi hills, the mysore palace and may be the brindavan gardens next day before coming back to bangalore. Try to visit the palace on Sunday night, they light up the whole palace.
There are some restaurants with local specialties but I think will be far for you. Although in general the normal restaurants are really good and much less costly than other cities. Try Pi Vista (Jungle) for North Indian food - my favorite in Mysore, its near to the suburban bus stand i.e. the one you'll reach if you go by bus. You can also try metropole, regaalis etc.

What kind of food you like.. Based on the budgets, food in blore varies from okay to great. For now I can only recommend visiting malls in Blore as this is the only thing I really do on my free time. However, if you crave for excellent food, I suggest install zomato app on your phone and look for good food around whenever you are going stay in Blore. Hope this helps.. Good malls in Blore are Orion and Phoenix, and older malls like Forum and Garuda might be just fine as well.. In Mysore, what would be better than checking out Mysore Palace, Tipu's Summer Palace and ending your day at Brindavan Garden

Alright.. Its Iskon Temple. And the zoo is in Banergatta.

@OP - If you are interested you can visit the Iskon temple. Banergatta zoo has a safari which might be the solo attraction. IMO(might be because the zoo here doesnt reach my expectations of Nehru Zoo Park in Hyderabad) But being hot, it wont be a productive trip to the zoo as animals do bother the heat than us :D Moreover, if you are travelling by bus, it will be a hectic and long journey too.

Also, Brindavan garden in mysore is much of a dissapointment now and doesnt stand anywhere close to its previous glory. So dont waste time going there. As suggested by #sabby , Sunday evening is the best time to visit Mysore Palace.

Expect the same here with Autos. They charge you based on thier mood. So make sure you stop the auto with a happy driver :P

Taxi's have their meter working (I think so) and they charge as per the meter.

No, I don't think the palace is lit up other than Sunday (except Dussera time). Bangalore autos are way better than Chennai, most of them will agree to go by meter. In my one year stay in Chennai, not a single auto agreed to charge by meter, I think none of the meters wes actually functioning at all.

These days, what I've found out is, if you want to hang out for a long time, it makes more sense to go for taxi like ROMAN TAXI than going for auto. Since I am using our family car at work, my wife and kids always hire the taxi and at the end of the day, they end up paying 400 bucks or something for 4 hours usage. The drivers are polite and the overall experience is much better. However, for short distance, yes, auto still rules.
