Hi friends,

Back after long time :)

Planning to buy 1 GPU or 2 GPUs which ever setup gives best perfomance at least cost.

I have read about review 660 sli beating 680 to hell and cost lower.

Not seen any 7 series ati card beating any 6 series nvidia card in similar price range in any review atm. I like techpowerup to see reviews. Please advise other reliable sites.

Im open for both brands just want best gpu at best price please advise. please advise reliable online seller too. BTW is MDcomputers good online store?

Currently im sold for 660 sli :) change my mind if u can.

Thanks a lot :)

I am not sure if you current PSU can support a 660ti sli setup. Consider a single gpu setup instead of mutli-gpu. If you are gaming at single monitor,1080p without gimmicks like 3D, physics get a amd 7870 or a 660ti

This siggi is old I hv 620 wt sesonic now

Also im planning on 660 sli not 660 ti sli coz both give about similar performance

K guys Would like to few more details:

1 Budget: 35k approx can increase
2 Psu: Sesonic 620 wat bronze rated
3 Playing resolution: 1080i
4 Want all kind of eye candy including 3d, I will buy 3d tv within a month if I can do 3d gaming without extra cost of nvidia 3d vision if I go for nvidia gpu/gpus. 3d tvs r almost the same price of normal ones these days. Like samsung smart tvs, will it be good enough for 3d gaming?

5 Im completly going for 660 sli setup as it is best value for money option for my needs as far I can see. This will be my first dual gpu setup.

6 im not into overclocking. I would rather play then waste my time for that 10% extra increase in fps thats only for mental satisfaction and showoff. Plz dont mind personal opinion.

im here for a better suggestion friends, I welcome it.

Hy guys,

Guess everybody is away.
Latest update:
Did a bit of research on google and decided to go for single card.
Now, i saw 7970 giving improved results with 12.11 catalyst but still price performance wise 670 beats it.
Im not a fan of overclocking but 7970 seems to overclock realy good.
what do u say could be the safe 24x7 oc on 7970 and performance from tat oc is worth the price tag?
or i should go for 670 im confused now omg!!!!
Please help me decide.
I m going to place a order soon guys plz reply fast, thanks a lot :)

just go for 670,don't get into OC business, you will get physx and cuda (and even 3d vision support) and nvidia driver support is way better than amd(and amd goons,i have had gpu's from both the companies and so i am speaking from experience).both gpu's give good performance for your purposes so why mess with oc'ing when you can have other perks like physx etc...(which acc. to me aren't much but still are nice to have)

With 35K budget, You can easily get 680 or 7970. But main thing, either you go with SLI or single GPU setup, you will need to upgrade PSU too.

I would suggest, go for single setup, and save on power. As SLIing 660ti too should require PSU upgrade. And cards like 680 or 7970 are bound to give pretty much "all pro - all eye-candy " performance for all games coming in 2013.

Decide which games you are gonna play for longer run, and from that decide which GPU, you wanna get. As 680/7970 being a ultra-ranged cards, they will enable gaming in ultra setting in almost any game. But there will be FPS difference in games like BF3, BL2 who uses physx, and are inclined towards Nvidia GPUs.

Hy guys thanks for ur valuable input.

Finally orderd Msi 680 lightning :yahoo: will get it on Monday or Tuesday at max.
Finally decided not to sqeze my hands and go for the top one hehe :2guns:

It is already factory oced so no need of oc for now but i wil try my luck and tweak it a lil to see who much headroom this baby got. Might need some oc in future when i start getting <60fps on full settings, that will add some more time this baby can spend with me :p
will stay on safe side for now as im not experienced in ocing, had some oc attempts with my gtx250 and ati5770 in past but those card didnt show any notisible improvments and time spent in ocing those cards seemed a waste to me.
Hopfully this baby will not disapoint me :)
Techpowerup review showed 15% performance improvment with oc on stock voltage, tat seems impresive.

Hey! Can you let us know where did you buy from and how much did it cost you? :)
I am going through a similar problem, I am getting a 7950 Vapor-x at 21500 ; but again the views expressed in this thread are pulling me towards the green team..
Thanks

Hy friends,
was busy setting up my new rig, i upgraded almost every thing :). Got new CM haf cabinet, hyper 412 cpu cooler, samsung 23in 3d moniter, just installed w7 and updated it to sp1, was planning on buying windows 8 but MS trying to control things with it and I want full control over my pc so droped that idea for now. @KrocK, i bought it from msi sales person he booked order for me and got it from msi usa i guess. Bought it for 39500 price is lil bit on higher side but i got it at my home place, ppl dont buy this much expensive cards here, actually ppl dont buy graphic cards here lol. So getting it here was a big thing for me.
As far as going for green or red team is concerned just buy watever card suits ur budget best. Currently red team prices seem high compared to performance. 670 is best buy imo, i would have bought it too but the asus oc 670 was not available to me so i went for 680.
