PC Peripherals Planning to get stuff from Finland

Many TE techies do import or get stuff from abroad so i need your advice as my friends sis is going to Finland in 1st week of October & we have decided to get some pc stuff from there.

but before that need to hear from you all.

Are products like graphic cards & proccys cheap over there?

Can we get global warranties from the manufacturers?

Is it advisable to get it from there or buy here locally?

If its thumbs up from you all, then i dont mind a few of you joining the party.

Finland is good for Finnish Vodka and Nokia stuff... rest of the stuff might be even more expensive...

^ +1 . Electronics stuff is more or less the same. Try getting it locally. Plus you don't have to bother about warranty.

been to sweden last year. (finland's neighbour). figured out that European electronics are costlier than Indian electronics. purchased some very good chocolates(kilo ke bhav se )

I have found out that bangalore street prices are way too lower than helshinki/Espoo(Nokia HQ) prices !!
The VAT over there is 44%. For them its OK as the govt takes care of almost all the things.

Techies do get stuff from abroad but the preferred places are US/Singapore/Taiwan.

Rest others are more or so same or not worth the pain
