Planning to make a purchase from DealExtreme

Hey guys,
My secondary Dual SIM phone is acting funny lately (Automatically switching off and stuff) and so I was planning to get this from DE Star A5000 Dual SIM Android Phone
Can anyone who has made a prior purchase from DE give a feedback of their products, the time it takes for the product to arrive, whether I would have to pay any customs etc.

Please do let me know if there is any other thing that I need to keep in mind before I make the purchase.

It takes very very very long. I have ordered twice and both times it took more than 2 months for the order to come.

1. Feedback on their products: Well, they are your typical Chinese goods. Decent for the most part. DX also offers a replacement guarantee.

2. Shipping time: This may vary depending on the shipping option, holidays if any and postal services in your area. In some rare cases 10-14 days, generally 25-30 days tops, unlikely cases over a month. Opt for registered airmail (extra) and you will receive a tracking no.

3. Customs? No. They are all marked as gifts and usually undervalued.

4. Anything else? Yes, place the order and wait patiently. One fine day, you'll find it at your door step.

Takes anywhere between 25 to 45 days for the product to arrive.

Customs depend upon the discretion of the Customs Officer. The parcels are marked as gifts but you never know the mood swings of a customs official!!

I ordered a lock pick set from Deal Extreme...Took a month.....I almost gave up on it after 15 days.. But yeah packing and everything was fine when it was received..!

What I can see is that most of you all made purchases of items which were not costly. I guess buying something that is nearly 150$ would be a big risk, considering the fact that it might even take a month or so to reach here. I guess I won't place the order then.
