Planning to shift to airtel mumbai

Well after a long time i m finally looking to change my operator from hathway to airtel (almost 5 years-7 years i guess on various plan)

Reason::Hardly any eye catching plan or from past 2 years on same plan just with rate reduction and if any eye catching broadband plan comes it has download limit and they do screw u your free night unlimit time in counting the mbs

I have decided to go for airtel home 799 plus plan

Here are some of my query

1:: is 799 included with taxes or is it extra? Plus if i dont use the landline which i get with it at all do i have to pay for it too...any rent or stuff??

2:: Is it worth going for airtel....in hathway i m on 256kbps unlimit plan...650 cost with taxes i pay 730.....but i never get more than 25kBps avg speed
have heard ppl on airtel mtnl sometime getting speed upto 2 mbps...but i would be happy if i get more than 256kbps speed...i mean even 40-50kBps..for the money i pay

3:: How is the service in mumbai?
Hathway do provided with lot of call centre numbers 24 hr helpline but hardly any help when it past 5 at evening plus sat sun is like no help day from them.....

if any more question comes up ill ask that later

i am on airtel BB 888 home plus plan 256k daytime and 512k at night.. all the plans are taxes extra and tax will be applied on watever total amount is, whether u use the telephone or not...didnt have to pay any modem rentals..

i am satisfied changing from MTNL to Airtel, so far i get 36KB average in daytime night is arround ~70KB the 2mbps spike is highly unlikely :P unless u have activated BB on demand which is 2mbps per hour @ 25rs extra or some promo going on ;)
