Played in Arcade?

Have any of you played in local arcades? If so what games did you play??

I have played a lot of Tekken 3 , Tekken Tag also there used to be a game called Pepsi man and a Bugs bunny game the name of which i cant remember.
 
There used to be a couple of arcades here in Chennai 10 or more years ago. All have closed down now sadly

The best was the Sega arena which had 3 floors of arcade games. good old days

Can't remember what I used to play but mostly racing games, streetfighter, capcom types and house of the dead shooting types
 
ya i remember playing street fighter, sonic, tekken. I used to go to arcade as soon as school is over.

Now arcades are closed and later cybercafes are filled with kids playing GTA and road rash
 
I Hate the GTA games not that they are bad in any way but kids starting gaming are just getting stuck with that game and never trying anything other than it . When i say that i dont play those games they look at me like i am an alien.

BTW i am talking about arcades that have coin system. Never played in IMAX style arcades.
 
^^ I remember playing an airplane shooter simulator complete with a throttle and a trigger et al, in Delhi and Lucknow, good days used to get till the 3[sup]rd [/sup]level and then the enemy was too tough and I did not get many shots, now I'm not even sure if those arcades exist.

I don't have any more memories was never a fan of games like GTA and [touch-wood] haven't played a single GTA title till date.

Well put Sire, it is true I find kids the age of 6-7 playing that game with all the associated mods [ with the discretion of the most vaunted Hot Coffee mod]. Feels really weird, to talk to a kid and try to explain him that there are games above GTA.
 
My first and favourite game was Super Mario.

I used to pay 1 Rs per 5 min and used to play for hours due to which i got lot of scholdings and beatings from my parents.

But i didnt lose hope and kept playing ,finally my father bought me a 8 bit catridge Video game.

Used to play games like golden Axe street fighter and who can forget mortal kombat from 2 to mortal kombat trilogy .. heck i still remember we used to have like small tournament in the arcade ......
