Playing h.264 encoded - MP4 files?

i downloaded Schlinders list

How to play that type of file??

I tried it on VLC,MEDIAPLAYER, downlaoded h.264 encoder (how 2 decode that?). downlaoded mpeg-4 player..but all in vain.

All i can hear is sound.

Please help.

how to use the ffdshow software?

It does not work in other s/w u have mentioned.Only sound...no video

my bad...i had the old version of vlc 0.8.1...i just downlaoded vlc 0.8.6...it worked on that

lol 0.8.1 is very old afaik.

that was funny , i was wondering how VLC didnt play H.264.
