Hi Friends,

I have a Su-Kam double battery Home UPS system at home (model - Smiley Pure Sine Wave 1400va/24v). I want back up for 3 fans, 2 tubelights and a small mixer for upto 4 hours. Would it be ok to use two 100ah batteries or I need to go for batteries with more amps.
Please advice which is the best and most efficient battery that I can connect to my UPS. We face power cuts only on Fridays.

I would generally suggest getting Tall tubular batteries from either exide or amaron, others are pure waste. I am not sure if these batteries come below 150AH. These are 36+12(prorata) based warranty. Also for your needs, you would not need more than 120AH.

You actually do not need 2 battery setup, talk to technician and there is a way you can convert 2 battery sup to single.

thanks a lot manju_rn, I bought two 100ah exide invared 350+ tubular batteries. All the technicians I talked to said the only way for a single battery setup is to purchase a single battery setup in exchange for the existing UPS.
