CPU/Mobo Please Help!! CPU running too hot!

Hey guys,

I have a AMD Phenom II X6 1090T proccy, it is running >55 C @idle. All the cores have the same temp as well. I never OC, and I dont want to either.

Please suggest a CPU cooler for around 3k. My mobo is: MSI 890GXM-G65 and I have CM 430 Cabby.

Have you enabled cool n'quiet / power savings in windows?
Try that if you haven't, your idle temps should improve.
 
increase your budget by 800rs and get noctua nh u12p se2 for 3.8k. best at that range. way better than hyper 212.

Thanks for the suggestion, Is it really worth buying as I am not going to OC, and dont wanna spend so much :(
 
Your temps seem okay, and with low idle temps the ambient temp in your cabinet should be lower as well, so you're not going to face any heat issues.
If you do want lower temps, your cabinet supports 6 fans. I'd suggest adding more fans instead of buying a cpu cooler. It'll be cheaper, and cool your entire system instead of just your cpu.

The coolermasters have a higher airflow, so they're the better option.

Thanks for the suggestion but my cabby already has 5 120mm fans installed :p
 
Get cooler master hyper tx3 or hyper 212+ as you don't want to spend too much on cooler and you will be able to oc if you want in the future.
