Please help decide broadband provider(mumbai), company's paying :)

hi,

my company is paying me max 1500rs for unlimted 1mbps, any provider at my area. But for approval it needs to be unlimited, 1mbps atleast and within 1500rs.

i live at bhandup (west), mumbai and currently on tata indicom broadband quick power 360 costing me 3600 bucks per 6 months. I want to keep the existing connection and use the free connection as an add on.

i tried hathway but they refused stating they do not have wiring till my house. What other options should i try out? Any attractive plans in unlimited without FUPs?

How good are tikona and reliance wimax?

its 1500 incl the service tax... so reliance does not works... mntl does not provide good speed in my area... any other suggestions?

how god are the wireless connections? tikona has a 1mbps plan for 1300. no mention of fup. anyone has idea of tikona service in bhandup? i will cal them for a demo... plz advice

+1 for MTNL if in Mumbai. Supposedly the cheapest of all ISPs in Mumbai except that their customer service is a PITA at times. IINW a 1mbps UL connection can be had for under 1k.
 
wow.. so many mtnl fans.. let me check.. last time i checked hey didnt had good speed at my area... however that's a year back..

reliance is cancelled as the pan should cost 1500 incl service tax

looking at local internet vendor also, giving 1mbps day 2 mbps night for 1400 tax incl

also called tikona for a live demo today.. how good are they..??
 
First check in your area or your building if anyone is using mtnl triband there is working well or not, if its working fine for them than only go for mtnl.
