Today...I clean my cabby (taking out all components except motherboard). After that, when I start my PC..Seagate 1TB (7200.12) HDD not detecting (not even in bios). Other 2 HDD working fine

I checked the HDD in another PC....same problem
I changed both the cables....same problem
I tried switching SATA ports....same problem

I don't want to loose my data :(

You can try replacing the PCB , but not sure. If you can get an exact pcb, then atleast you can recover the data, if it gets detected

The PCB trick is just for recovering data, so try to borrow one from friends (or TE member), who have the exact HDD. Next replace the PCB and check - if it is detected or not. If detected, then you are lucky, just recover the data and replace the PCB with the bad one and send your HDD for RMA

Never disaassemble your pc unnecessarily. Just blowing the dust is more than enough...

I clean my pc every 2 months...Never had such problem....But this time... :( :(

^^ As i have said, try to get one from your friend or near ones, if data recovery is very important, then you can opt for buying, but sadly i have 0 idea regarding that.

I doubt if the service center guys will recover the data, but there are some shops who do recover data from faulty HDDs, where is your location?

HDD retrieves basic stored information from platters at the time of boot, in case of mechanism failure swap PCB trick will do nothing. Check whether there is any tic tic or grinding sound with the HDD at boot, which is clear indication of mechanism failure.

Hard Disk working again :) :) :) :)

Old power cable is faulty........New one too.....

Bought another new cable....now its working good.... :) :) :) :)

Thank u all.....for the help ...... :) :)

great to hear that, since the last data cable was faulty, just run a error scan on your HDD
