I have a budget of 30-40k (max 50 not more)

I Already have a case, dvd writer, linksys pci wireless card and cabinet from my old p4 rig. (cabinet is a branded hp one, I am hoping i can still use it)

I will be needing the following :

1. Processor (Would prefer intel, I had an amd laptop before and it would always overheat)

2. Mobo (Asus etc.)

3. PSU (crossair)

4. Ram (3-4gb crossair)

5. GPU (atleast 512 mb with hdmi output) (also should support resolution of 1080p on a 52 inch lcd)

6 Proper sound card not the stock mobo one.

7. Blu ray reader (if i have money left over wouldnt mind a blu ray writer)

8. HDD (1-2tb seagate or WD only)

8. Proper UPS (APC preferably)

9. Wireless KB and mouse (should have good range atleast 10-12 feet)

10. Wired xbox 360 controller.

I dont need a screen, I will be using an lcd tv. Will i be able to get everything i require in my budget ? Please keep in mind i will be using it for gaming too so need a proper setup.

Suggest me anything that i missed out

1. Phenom II x3 720 - 7.5k

2. Biostar 785GE 128M - 4k

3. Corsair 450VX - 4k

4. Gskill PI black CL4 DDR2 4gb - 3.6K ( G.Skill - F2-6400CL4D- 4GBPI Black )

5. wait for the new Dx11 from ATI to release in 2-3 weeks keep 10k

6. Asus XONAR-DX - 4.5k

7. Blu ray reader - No use getting one

8.Western Digital Caviar Black WD1001FALS 1TB 7200 RPM - 6k

8.(math fail ) APC Back - UPS BE 650Y-IN - 3k

9. I'm not the best guy to tell you about keyboards and mouse but I think these should work. Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 3200 Laser - 4.5k

10. Wired xbox 360 controller. 2.5k - 3k

I would saw get a new case like this

Silverstone Sugo Series SG02B-F-SG02W-F

just add a good 80mm fan in the front and you can keep even a GTX295 cool in it.

This type of cases are called SFF. often mistakened for HTPc caes for there size but they are nothing similar. Keep the harware way cooler, tons of space and just look cool. It costs only 4.6k.

Without the graphic card it comes to around 40k.

AMD desktop proccessors are much better now and the Phenom-II is a great architecture. So dont worry about overheating issues of AMD :)

:ashamed: LOL

Any reason against blu ray drive ?

Thanks for the rest of the suggestions though.

Will look out for amd too are they cheaper than intel ?

Is the performance worse/same/better than intel processors ?

they are expensive. won't fit in your budget and there is n ouse getting them. you get the same content in DVD too.

They are more bang for the buck and give almost the same performance for lesser money.
