Hello,

Received this item today. Proceeded to set it up. I have a Windows 7 x86 Ultimate, Genuine. Plugged in the router to the power supply, plugged in the WAN cable into its WAN slot and (as stated in the manual), connected it to my laptop via a Category 5 cable.

The ASUS box had a CD that contained EZSetup Utilities, so I installed that. Afterwards, I also went to ASUS's website and downloaded the latest version of the utility, to rule out any errors caused by Windows 7. Anyway, gave an SSID name to the network, assigned a password to it, and since my ISP is all automatic IP address and everything, I didn't fiddle with those settings. The connection was unsecured first, so I chose WPA-2 encryption. But this problem was also present when there was no encryption so I think we can rule that out.

Did all the requisite settings on 192.168.1.1 and the Windows 7 Wifi thingy connected successfully (after entering the security key) but it showed the "No Internet Access" Message".

Here is a screengrab, done after the troubleshooting -

I did restart the computer, and the router, but nothing improved. By the way, this error was also shown when the router was connected via Cat-5 cable. Now, I have connected the ISP provided modem via Cat-5 cable and that is working fine.

So, what is going on here? How do I remove the "No Internet Access" message? Please help!

Who is your ISP?? What IP address is your PC getting? I would assume something in the 192.168.1.x range since you mentioned being able to access the setup interface of the router using 192.168.1.1 Also, what is the WAN IP on the router?

My ISP is Tikona. The setting are adjusted to receive IP address and DNS address and other details automatically, but What Is My IP shows my IP to be 113.193.159.44.

I can access the Router setup interface only when I connect via the ASUS router. When I am connected with the ISP-provided hardware, then I cannot open any page via 192.168.1.1

Also, when I talked to the customer care, they told me that Tikona employs MAC binding, and I'll have to pay extra to get Wifi. Any way I can work around that?

Here is the page I get when I type 192.168.1.1 after connecting my router -

Now, where do I clone the MAC Address?
