Please help optimise this Gaming Rig configuration

Hello guys :)

I'm new in here .. and I'm planning to get a new gaming rig. My desired configuration comes to nearly 60k. But I want one under 50k. Please help reduce this config to under 50k.....

Depends - I can cut mobo cost a little without overclocking. I think a good graphics card + i5 2500k will eliminate the need to overclock for recent games. I'm not looking for super high performance. Just compatibility thats it. How about ASUS P8H67-M LX @Rs 5600 rather than P8P67-M PRO?

Q: Which operating system do you intend to use with this configuration?

If you dont think that OC wont be useful to you and wont be OCing then dont get i52500k.
Better get i52400+Intel Dh67BL-B3 for around 16k and save 5k.

Cabinet-Get NZXT Gamma - 2.2k

PSU - any PSU for 2.5k wont be enough.Altleast get Seasonic s12II 520 w for single GTX 560Ti GFX config ,If adding a GFX in futute then Seasonic s12II 620w -4.5k

Monitor-BenQ G2220HD costs 7k at max.

HDD-What 1300rpm one!!, i think its a typo.

UPS-for that PSU only APC 1.1KVA with give Backup of 10 min - 4.5k

I think Mobo need to be changed let the experts give their views.

GFX - GFX is k but i dont have any idea about Zotac let others help you out with this.
Also have seen a guy selling Sappphire HD 6850 which is similar to GTX 560Ti in performance.He is selling it for 10.9k .That will be a goood deal, i guess.

I would suggest you save the cash and wait for Amd hd7XXX series release which will be available in q1 2012,the reviews are really good of Hd7970,so we can expect good performance from HD7850.
If you really want to oc then get i5 2500k+Asus p8p67-m pro or ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z ,otherwise there is no point in going for 2500k instead go for i5 2400 which will fit in your budget.

that adds Rs. 2800 = New price Rs. 62200 :(
 
If you are getting a H67 Mobo for i5 2500k then it would be a waste investment as H67 Mobo cannot OC the processor and the it cant be used to the max.
Better get i5 2400(which is similar to i5 2500k in performance with compromise in OC)+H67 Mobo for 15k

GFX- 15k .Better wait for the AMD hd7XXX which are going to be released in FEB or JAN,i guess.
Totally it costs 56k

For now dont buy GFX and save 15k and save them to buy buy gen GFX.

Then the total cost without GFX will be 41k
 
okay, if i5 2400 is good I'll settle for that.

Found some used Numeric UPS @1k in local classifieds. That should be enough i guess.

And GFX ... if hd7XXX is coming soon., many will be selling their GTX560Ti's or HD6850's. Lemme see if I can find a good deal........ :2guns: Let me know if any....

Here is what I suggest, it is mostly what has been put forth by other members but some elementary changes --

Core i5 2400 OR Core i5 2320 ~ 10900/- OR 9500/- [most Intel Core i5's that are not marked k are harvested from the batch of Intel Core i5 / i7 which did not make the cut for k-standards and have a slightly elementary IGP -- HD 2000]

Intel DH67-BL OR MSi H67MA-E35 ~ 5800/- OR 4800/-

Corsair XMS3 OR RIPJAWS 4GB 1600 MHz module(s) ~ 1650/- [look the Vengeance and RIPJAWS X RAM modules only have a slightly spruced heat-spreader and the rest advantages are only on paper so save cash there, also a smaller heat-spreader makes it easier to add after market CPU coolers]

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 320GB ~ 3600/-

Seasonic S12II 620W ~ 4600/- [better to be safe than sorry in the future]

OEM DVD writer [Samsung / LG / Sony / HP] ~ 1000/-

NZXT Gamma ~ 2300/-

BenQ G2220HD ~ 7200/-

APC 650 VA ~ 2600/- [invest in a decent UPS rather than some cheap one and regret later]

MSi GTX 560 Twin Frozr II ~ 13900/- [waiting for the HD 7*** series is going to be prolonged OR you are really bloody patient like a Brit so you save up]

Please realize that the HD 7*** series will only incorporate a architecture shift in the HD 79** series, the HD 78** and lower series will be miniaturized VLIW4 design itself. So the performance increment and feature set-advantage will not be really as evident as the HD 79** series, also pricing in opening weeks in the market will be absolutely remarkable.
