Hi guys,
as the title suggests
Please suggest a VFM 500GB or 1TB portable external HDD
Looking to spend less than 3.5k-4k:)
 
I recently bought Iomega ego 500Gb usb3.0 portable hdd for Rs. 3150 in Kolkata.It looks awesome with 3 years warranty & has some encryption & shock proof thingy.
 
AFAIK Seagate GoFlex 500GB costs 2600 Bucks right?

I really don't wanna go for IOmega

looking for suggestions in Seagate WD and Maybe Buffalo (Preference in that order :) )
 
go for goflex 500 gb at present best in the market for the price.

capacity of hdd depend on your requirement

what you want to do with your external drive? if you want to store movies,games,songs etc go for 1tb,

if for general purpose programs,some files for transfer and carrying data go for 500gb
 
how much would 1tb seagate portable HDD cost?

i am basically looking for portability as cheap as it gets and without the need for an external power connector

seagate 1tb expansion will cost 4350rs while goflex 1tb will cost 4600rs approx. in market.

check the exact price in your local market before buying

both come with warranty of 3yrs
 
Buy the Seagate Go flex from lets buy . Cheapest you will get .

I am using 500 Gb and writing speeds are good .

Goflex 500Gb@2600 is USB 2.0,if u don't need USB 3.0 then go with Seagate.

i thought that you can use the HDD as both usb2 or USB3 by just changing the cable?
