Monitors Please suggest a monitor

Hey

I want to purchase a monitor upto 8-9 k. I'll watch movies (bluray n all ) and play games on it ( not very high gfx games ) .
Please suggest a monitor for my budget.I stay in Mumbai.

In that price range, you are restricted to buying regular TN-panel LCD monitors.

The image quality will only be as good as the panel itself.

A Benq G2220HD costs around Rs.7500/- or less in Mumbai.

22", 1920x1080, 16:9.

The Benq G2420HD is an inexpensive 24" and retails for Rs.10,500/- to Rs.11,250/-

For a little more, around Rs.13,500/-, you can look at buying a Dell U2311 with IPS-panel (e-IPS iirc), provided it's available/in-stock.

Wait till others provide more suggestions, especially those from other manufacturers.

Haven't had much exposure to LCD monitors from brands apart from Dell and Benq for sometime.
