It is around 2K or so.

And you dont need a mobo cooler. What you need is a CPU cooler. I guess you can go for either Coolermaster Hyper 6+ or Hyper 48 or Asus StarIce....

Because AMD Athlon 64 939 CPU has embedded Dual CHannel memory controller,so 512 x 2 will run in dual channel, giving much better performance.

Get the Antec 360W for Rs1900. Its looks very good and i dont think powersafe can beat Antec's build quality and support. The specs might not be the same on both, you can check with that on the net though .

Yes, there is a performance increase on the Athlon 64 Socket 939 by Dual Channel mode - but its really not as much as people think. Because of the low latencies of the HyperTransport bus, the Dual Channel data path does not seem to make the diffrence it makes with other CPUs.

Yes, you will notice the difference, but only in applications like 3DMark or AquaMark. otherwise, you'll see no difference.

^^ Well for starters...
754 gave a mem bandwidth of around 3GBps
939 gives a mem bandwidth of around 6GBps

Still you say it doesnt help matter much ?

You wont experience it in normal windows operation but Apps benifit from it,especially memory dependant ones.

so i can get any two 512mb rams or only 512 * 2 dual channel twinmos ??
512 x 2 any dimms so long as they r the same pal...2 corsair 3200XL's (512*2) will do the trick better than any twin*** around :bleh: ...

Also the 2048 c2's are good the 2-3-3-6 rating can be got down to 2-3-2-6 without any probs...though admittedly I haven't done this myself....

a powersafe 500W would be a good bet....for 2K...but why not spend a bit more after all the PSU is perhaps the most stressed component today and more importantly u will not upgrade unless it gets jacked...right??

corsair xl 1gb costs more than 10k here .. c2p2 costs around some 8k odd for a gb i dont think nooo way its justified to pay such high premium of price wqhen u can get good enuff bandwidth with twinmos. afterall a few mbps increase wont change anything much.

The Transcend 512 sticks also come with UCCC. U can get those for 2.1K. So u get 1 GB in dual-channel as well as UCCC.

I only said that I saw less of a performance increase with dual channel enabled on AMD64 PCs than on Athlon XPs or Pentium 4s. That doesnt mean that its not there at all. Strangely enough it made difference to me only in games like Far Cry, i.e. Direct3D games which are extremely graphics intensive. I didn't notice notable gains on older (DX8/OpenGL) games.
