My mobo has broken down so I wud need to buy a new one but within a budget constraints also I have to change d processor and the Ram as they are outdated and wudnt go wid the new mobo.
The current configurations are :

Processor-intel p4
Mother board- intel D101GGC
RAM- transcend jm388d43a 1GB ddr1

Please help me replace these with as minimum cost as possible ....
Also my use is just basic, but I might want to use photoshop in the future

CPU = Intel G2010 4.2k
Mobo = Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H 4.9k
Gigabyte GA-H61M-DS2 3k (only if tight on budget)
RAM = Transcend DDR3 1x4GB 2.4k
Total = 11.5k or 9.6k

Check local market prices, 11.5k components might comes within 10k.

Would suggest to get a new PC and if possible, purchase from flipkart if the prices are right AND if you can get hold of a StanChart card.

Thanks a lot for the feed back ...what if I put a i3 processor
and a decent 2gb ram ddr3 and a gigabyte mobo under what wud that amount to the maximum I can stretch is 13

Mobo Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H have support for Intel 3rd gen CPUs, so you can put i3, i5, or i7.
Intel i3 3220 will be around Rs 7900, means you have to pay Rs 3700 more if not going with G2010.
Considering the usage you mentioned I don't think its worth to go with i3. Don't go with RAM less than 4GB.
If you are concerned about performance, save more money and add 60GB SSD later for OS and applications.
You get better performance in G2010+4GB RAM+SSD then i3+2GB RAM

first of all ,thanks a lot @sky uve been great help ... I already have a 500gb HDD ..do i need a SSD? also , isnt G2010 a outdated version ...and what about gigabyte mobo,...is that sufficient?... im on a tight budget here but also wudnt like to compromise on the quality ...as in processor shud be good ...i dun wanna put it in just for d sake of it... i was suggested by others to not invest more money on this piece of hardware ...and instead go for a laptop ...im contemplating that now ...what are ur views?

G20x0 are capable processors. For basic work its enough. Newer gen Pentiums will take approx 2-3 more months to hit Indian shores.

However if you desire still better performance, add an SSD as suggested earlier. SSD makes difference of day and night in system.

Regarding buying a laptop, i would say that if you need portability, buy it eyes closed, else desktop still rules.

You had mentioned a budget of 10K - you wont get a laptop in that money - at least not VFM material. What you can do is, sell the existing stuff and buy a laptop. Try to go for a 2nd gen i3 based lappie if you have the moolah, else, 3rd gen pentium dual core ones, which would be cheaper. Do not go for anything else.

An SSD is great way to speed up your laptop or desktop, however, remember that it comes at a price. If you can afford it, great. Seeing your small budget, I refrained from suggesting one.

SSD is an option which I gave you in case you need more performance. You don't have to buy SSD on day 1. As said by @vyral_143 G2010 is good enough for your requirements. There are people who bought i3 just because they need i3 or they were told to buy i3, and they end up in using system just for playing movies, MS office or to run kids educating material etc.
Difference between G2010 and i3 500MHz - i3 provide 2 extra threads and 500MHz more. Now think that are you really going to use these extra power for your work.
You can go with Gigabyte B75 mobo with closed eye. There are people on TE who bought/recommended the same mobo with i5 and i7 processors.
Desktop and laptop both have different purpose. Think about your requirement first. If mobility is your first preference then go with laptop but you have to compromise with 2nd gen processors (if you are tight on budget there too).

Another big advantage of an i3 over a PDC is the option of using Intel QuickSync. It may seem a small point - but if he ever encodes movies to H264 - then it would be very useful - especially for those who want to make movies universally playable [Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android, Windows Phone/RT] using the H264 codec. Plus the graphics engine is somewhat better for gaming, albeit small. Plus, with Handbrake coming with QS support (alpha/beta testing) its a big plus.

I would also recommend people to see the budget before delving into suggesting an SSD. An SSD is very useful, undoubtedly - but people need space too. A 120GB SSD costs the same as a 2TB HDD, give or take - 6.5K to 7.5K, depending on sellers. A 64GB SSD will not be enough in most of the cases. And so, IMHO, is not something to buy on a small budget.

OP only specified basic usage and photoshop in future and tight on budget. So to me G2010 is the only option to recommend.
128GB SSD is always preferred over 64GB providing the OS, applications to be hosted. But OP looks concerned about performance when I suggested G2010. So for him even 64gb is enough to host OS, other basic applications and photoshop in future.

If he can spread his wings he can go with i3 or SSD, depending on his decision.

Guys id like to thank all of ull for helping me out here ! its been a real pleasure knowing things that were till yesterday unknown n unheard of ....thanks your help is really appreciated ...now to the actual part since i mentioned buying a laptop ...i would like ull to suggest a laptop , now i know its a lot different from my initial requirement but ... i think ill prefer a lappy now as portability and mobility are a factor for me... the new requirements for me are a LAPTOP within 30K ....the use is same as above but i wud want a laptop that is sturdy has good warranty and extended warranty i would prefer avoiding AMD processor but if its really good then please feel free to suggest! ...ya the budget can go a max up2 33-35 K not a penny more ...so ya please suggest me a laptop
