Have been using MX518 's for many years now. Also used DA for sometime now and find it a bit flattish compared to MX518.

Want to try a bigger mouse, that can fit in my palm.

Are there any mice bigger than those mentioned here?

Razer Imperator / Mamba -- Razer Imperator Gaming Mouse | RazerStore / Razer Mamba Wireless Gaming Mouse | RazerStore - Official Online Store

Gigabyte GM-6800 -- http://www.gigabyte.in/products/product-page.aspx?pid=2759#ov

Logitech G 400 / 500 / 9x -- Logitech® Gaming Mouse G400 / Gaming Mouse G500 / G9x Laser Mouse

I think Logitech mice are larger because they have to accommodate a compartement for weights [adjustable weight system for G 500 and the G9x mouse systems].

Hope this helps, Sire.

Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 is even bigger than DA in size, you can get it for 1300.

Thanks guys. :)

Also, funnily, i have seen Razer mice develop issues or die in a year or so even though they are quite expensive for most. But the mX518, though cheaply built now, works fine for way longer.

And the only reason i went with DA is that it was not buggy like the previous Razer mice.

Can't we have features, form and reliability at the same time? :P

How is the Roccat Kone/Kone+?

Steelseries Ikari , if you dont find that large i dont knw what else you will find large :P , I have tried IE 3.0 , DA , MX-518 , Ikari .

Order of size - Ikari >>> IE 3.0 > DA > MX-518

I just tried out the mX518 and the DA.

The high-back and the more gradual slope of the rear of the MX518 makes contact with the front and a bit of the middle of my palm.

That definitely feels better compared to the DA, whose top/rear is away from my palm.

So the mouse should be long and tall/high, so that i can kind of rest my palm on it and the thumb and lil finger can stay away from the pad or make minimal contact. :)

Roccat Kone is small sized. Avoid.

Try the Steelseries Ikari. Or just get another MX518. :P

I have 3x MX518 now :P- one is dying. works most of the time but sometimes doesn't but it's quite old too - after one got stolen at a gaming event. :@

The DA tracks a bit smoother i feel, the click is lighter and the scroll wheel is not noisy and quite smooth/nice but is a bit finnicky about the mousing surface used.

The MX518 is far more forgiving on PnP use and surface used.

Will have to try Ikari. optical or laser?

And the Xai.

But do these last long. DA 's have been seen to develop click issues or die in 8 months odd. So do some other expensive meeces. :S

Now if i could only try these for a few minutes, with someone who owns one. :)

hey bikey

The mice mentioned in this thread, I feel kone+ is biggest of all measuring 13.5 X 7.8 cm. Have read some reviews and almost everyone liked it even who complained about scroll wheel problem and died laser.

Regarding durability you can ask Kekerode he bought kone last year.

just an update - I am facing left click problem with DA and imperator both of them just a year old. so, IMHO better not to waste money in these expensive Razer mice.

+1 For IE3. Been using only IE3s for the last 4+ years without a fuss. Its mighty large. Was outta production for a while so I shifted to MS Laser 6K but it was too lightweight for my taste so now its serving laptop duties, you can try that as well.

Ikari Optical + speed edition mats [used with Roccat Sense] = great combo, have used one, the plastic used in the construct feels a bit flimsy [thin and glossy surface] and clicky though and their are not a lot of button mapping options.

If you have large hands the mouse fits like a glove for. But it is locked to right-hand users, oh and the d.p.i. rating of the Ikari sensor is the least sensitive @1600 d.p.i.

Hope this helps, Sire.

I say IE 3.0 thats actually flattish compared to mx518 but its big alright ... also mamba is is same as DA .. I mean size wise .. also G400 is a copy of mx518 stupid ... and G500 is just mx518 with an extended thumbrest ... thats all .. don't even bother with roccat those are expensive though they look good :P .. but they are small .. compared to mx518 u will find it small ... ive tried both kone and kova a month back .. so IE 3.0 is ur best choice .. or there is always the NAGA LOL ... that is one phat mouse :X

I don't know about most of the mouse suggested but have been using Logitech MX 1100 and it is quite good and I am sure you would love it as you like MX518.

It is wireless, no lag, heavy and large. Last I checked it was only available with homeshop18.
