Don't see OP's need for a 24" panel much less an IPS panel?
A simple 22" should be more than enough, he has a 42" plasma for films / RIPz ; seriously no need to waste cash here. A DeLL ST2220L fits the bill in my opinion.

Also for a Core i7 I think a board with a better power-phase design will be better. I suggest the following --
  • GIGABYTE-H77-DS3H ~7500/-
  • ASUS P8H77-V ~9500/-
For cabinet I suggest the Corsair Carbide 300R ~4500/-

Rest is fine.

Well OP described his own need for 24" hence i suggested,I don't like 300R that's why suggested 400R OP will see what suits him.About the mobo are you suggesting that it lacks OP needs?

I know but after reading his usage even a 22" will do incase he does not want to go for a 20" (tinny piece).

The 300R is essentially a smaller 400R with a few features cut out and a single front port.

About the motherboard, all I am saying that the power-phase design is very basic in the B75M-D3H, a beefier MOSFET phase will be better considering he is sticking an i7 in there.

Well whatever cuts out for OP's work it's good enough.

i am still confused should i go for 3770 or 3770k i will not going to overclock the processor . Might do overclocking next year when required not sure about this . Should i buy overclocking ready component ( like processor , ram & motherboard ) . I will be using this PC atleast 3 Year .I need your advice

I require this PC for my studying purpose ( CCIE ) & studying other OS .

I will buy dell 22" this is sufficient for me . Does this build really require Corsair TX V2 650W ( high quality psu ) .

If you are not sure, no point in investing in over-clocking capable components. Also the Core i7 will easily last you ~3 -->5 years if you allow it to age gracefully. If you always want it at the top of the pack, sorry mate that ain't happening.

Yes, better to invest in a good SMPS now rather than regret later OR find that you do not have enough connectors to go around.

i had finalised below config

i7 3770
asus p8h77 -v
corsair cx 600w
cooler master elite plus 431
dell 22'' st220l
gskill ripjaw 1x8 gb
i will be buying this stuf from laminton road please suggest good shop

corsair cx 600w
cooler master elite plus 431
gskill ripjaw 1x8 gb

I have emboldened a few components, change them out for these --

SMPS -- Seasonic S12II 520W ~4500/- OR Corsair TX v2650W ~5800/-
Cabinet -- NZXT Gamma ~2600/- OR Corsair Carbide 300R ~4500/-
RAM -- G.Skill 4GB x2 1600MHz (instead of a single 8GB module unless you have specific reason(s))

Rest all checks out go, let @Jakob comment on shops in Lamington Rd.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

For its price against comparable offerings, yes. Especially cable routing is a pain. Advantage is that it has a USB 3.0 front port. If front USB 3.0 is a must then look at the NZXT Source Elite 210 ~2700/-.

RAM is fine then.

Hope this helps, Cheerio!

At lamington road get the quotes from Primeabgb and Theitwares,Don't get anything from mahavir they'll fool you into buying something different.Corsair TX650V2 will be priced between 5-5.5k so that won't change. For the case go for suggested above,They're better than Elite.

First thanks to nolifeonmars and others on this thread, I too have a similar requirement like nolifeonmars, looking for a desktop mainly focused on virtualization. I'm planning to build one from scratch and after the suggestions given in this thread I've arrived at the following components. Can you guys let me know if this is fine and would you require any changes to this list.

HI guys ,

already purchased the PC from vashi . i compared rated from vashi & lamination road , vashi rated are cheaper than lamination road . GIGABYTE-H77-DS3H is a basic MB . I suggest go for asus P8H77-V it cost around 9500.
