Looking for professional sports equipment. Badminton Rackets and net. Looking for top class equipment.

Please suggest a good sports store in Bangalore that sells professional equipment.

Need quick suggestions. Have to buy this saturday :P

Don't know about stores in bangalore, but try Yonex brand for good quality stuff. We used to buy Yonex racquet's and shuttle cocks and they were pretty good stuff. Racquets start from 300 bucks and then there were good ones that cost above 20k. Shuttle cocks were 80 bucks a piece for the regular quality ones.

Thanks Nemesis.

Heard of Yonex... Planning to pick up 4 rackets. My budget is 5k in all.

Guys, any store recommendations in Bangalore?

Olympics on double road under the richmond flyover - best bet i guess. Hercules (or something like that) on hosur road near shanti nagar (opposite the army school). Olympics has a branch in jayanagar 4th block also. There is also Rakhra sports in Cambridge layout (close to Frank anthony public school)

There are two very big shops a stop before majestic near tribhuvan theatre, don't remember the name. You'll get every kind of stuff there.

1) Hatrick Sports on Church Street(1st street on the right side as you enter Brigade Road).

2) Rakhra Sports at Cambridge Layout(Take a left on the load leading to MG Road from Indiranagar to enter the road where Ulsoor Police station is located).

Hatrick might be the one with more professional eqpt. Rakhra...I'm not so sure. They seem to cater more to the school nearby. But they had many kinds of racquets last time I checked.

Well, 5k is a bit low for "top class" stuff, especially if you want to get 4 racquets and a net :P , but it would surely get you decent stuff. For the racquets, they usually have options in carbon fiber, Aluminum and steel. Carbon fiber is the best to have with both strength and light weight, but most probably your budget will fetch hardly one decent racquet of this material, However there will be plenty of Aluminum and steel racquets to choose from in the range of 300 to 1500. I personally prefer Aluminum as its light weight though they are quite delicate and any rough handling will damage them.

Thanks guys. Have noted those shops down. My friends tell me that "Rohits Sports" is the best in Blr. I hear they have Yonex, Prince and other good brands of badminton rackets. They offer great prices.

Umm ya... budget of 5k in all for 4 rackets(without net) and can stretch upto 7k max...not more... looks like top class stuff out of the window :P
Was looking at entry-level carbon-fiber ones...
Will report back on saturday.
