Please suggest Web designing software

My friend, who doesn't know much about web designing other than basic HTML and Microsoft Frontpage, wants to design professional looking websites which have fancy animations/flash/java script,etc. The website layout/template he has in mind is similar to the Dell website - Learn about Dell's notebooks, laptops, desktops, monitors, printers plus computer electronics & accessories. | Dell India

Do please suggest a web designing software which meets his requirements.

it has both coding and free writing interface.

me, myself a pro at designing use dreamweaver & will use it forever. You can add any scripts & flash stuff very easily and customize anything anyhow.

That's write, nothing is better than Dreamweaver right now, in this field. Everything can be done with minimal coding knowledge with clicks of few buttons and menus and proper selections.

The journey will not be as smooth , no matter what the software. Some key concept understanding will be reqd to cuztomize and tweak the website ..especially if you wish to mantain professional standards.

Dynamic website --->ASP.net.

Static website --->Html,Flash

Decide which one suits you.

It will be a great help for you if you maintain a database in background.

I will suggest ASP.net considering your requirement (Dell website which maintains lot of product related information in database).

ask him to use free website templates and edit as he likes with dreamweaver.

I wud suggest Microsoft Expression studio for him...with flash...

or Visual studio with Photoshop, PhotoImpact(awesome), Flash etc..
