As promised, lets start with the proceedings to select our MOTM.

The MOTM will be selected after the following 3 steps
  1. Creating a pool of prospects
    • Top 10 posters in the month will get auto shortlisted.
    • Members nominated by members will be considered for the pool (This is being asked as there might be deserving members who are not among the top 10 but have contributed significantly)

  • Shortlisting the best candidates out of the pool based on their contribution over the month
  • Voting on the shortlisted candidates
    1. Staff voting (20%)
    2. Public voting (50%)
    So please make your nominations for the candidates whom you think are the most deserving. Meanwhile staff will decide who among the top 10 posters deserve to be shortlisted for the voting round.

Renegade, for rescuing us [through down-time], maintaining the entire forum tirelessly and being a true peoples MOD who listens to our feedback, implements changes [if possible] and doesn't hesitate to voice your own thoughts on subjects that are beyond your powers.

#[member='esanthosh'], for tirelessly writing the longest posts I will ever read on TE, explaining every minuscule detail that can be presented in a query. Having a brilliant vocabulary and great knowledge on audio equipment and paraphernalia.

I am in this forum mainly because of Gaming and Hardware section. So My vote will be for Modji #[member='Gannu'], #[member='Ethan_Hunt'] and #[member='ALPHA17'].
 
My vote goes for #[member='ALPHA17'] & #[member='rocker123']. #[member='Renegade'] is by default MOTM for all months otherwise.

Abhay for truly being a one stop hardware consultant. Anant helped with the recharge coupons of freecharge and mobikwik. Saved quite a bit.

And both are Delhites

Out of 10, 6 are selected purely based on post count in the month, 2 from staff nominations and 2 from member nominations.
 
It would be nice if you gave a brief snapshot of the work done by each member. Would help one make an informed choice as I don't know a few of the members nor the work done by them.

Or maybe, you could ask the shortlisted members themselves to write a line or two stating why they deserve to be MOTM. Just a suggestion...

Search for the member and take at look at their posting history, post length and content etc. That will help you make an informed decision.

Will close the voting tomorrow night so get your votes in.

I voted for ALPHA17, since Gannu wasn't on the list. Gannu manages to be omnipresent, while ALPHA has built up his notoriety level off late.

Gotta give my vote to Alpha17, Abhay is a great guy helping everyone everywhere! Very hard to give anyone else the vote!
