Laptops pls help!!!!!1.6ghz,2MB or 2.0ghz,4mb

Beginner
i'm buying Dell Vostro 1500.
but i'm confuesd in C2D 1.6 ghz,2mb cache and 2.0 ghz,4mb cache........both have 800 mhz FSB.i just cannot decide as the price difference between the two is Rs 11125.......i'll mostly use it for gaming,so i've gone for nvidia geforce 8600M GT with 256mb memory.
pls!!!!! help me...
 
If your usage is not for cpu intensive apps, then the 1.6Ghz will suffice your needs. The 2Ghz is Santa Rosa though..
 
1.6 is not Santa Rosa!!!!!!!!.....thank u very u much for enlightening me..
now my options are 1.8 ghz T7100 or 2.0 ghz T7300.
will 4mb cache show marked difference over 2mb one?????????
 
when i talked to a customer rep from dell he insisted me on choosing vista home basic.he said that warranty wud be void if i use any pirated operating system......is this true???????the price difference he's quoting between vista home basic and DOS is around 2500 bucks.....and one thing i wud prefer win XP for now.and he's giving win xp home for the same price as vista basic.
help me!!!!!!!
 
dont think warranty will be void :) how will they tell ;) if u have to give it for repairs..u can always wipe the hdd n give :D someone correct me if i am wrong :)
 
^ yeah that can be done :). Plus laptops dont go wrong too often.

The cache will help , again, in cpu intensive apps :P The T7100 will be good enough for general usage.
