Plz Advice me on buying an Acer Aspire 4736Z

Hi Guys,

Planning to buy an Acer Aspire 4736Z. It is priced at Rs. 25,200. A little concerned about the processor the laptop has (T4300).

The question is if this is worth the buy or do I have any other options(budget is less than 26k)? Going to use it for browsing, watching movies and other day to day things. Not going to play games or do anything hardcore.

Please advice. Thanks
 
hey! since watching movies is one of the things you'll be doing, I suggest you take a look at the 5738z model which is a 15.6" model and with a better battery backup.. you can find it for 26k in the market i think.
 
afaik the pentium dual core t4xxx series processors are essentially C2D's except with half the L2 cache memory. Simply put, multitasking will NOT be a problem.
PS - I've used a friend's 5738z and can hence assure you on the same.
Working on word, listening to Itunes, browsing the internet with 10 tabs open and even playing a 720p movie will not stutter your machine.. :)

also, I'd say that a config for 27k will get u 4gb ram, t4400 and 320 gigs hdd.

BTW there's also the 5741z in that price range with a pentium p6000 processor.. retails for around 27.5k..
