I was looking for the prices of a few hardware and all i got was DATABASE ERROR and an age old pricelist...to tell u the truth i never expected this from u guys,i mean TE iz one of THE BEST TECH FORUMS and seeing the price list outdated was kinda shockin for me......If u guys cant update the price list then just copy it from Techtree:tongue:,some1 updates the price list every month over there... if u guys cant update it then just remove it from this forum:@[sorry 4 bein a bit rude:( ]
 
I know what the mods and admins are going to say, but it's a fairly important part of the site and would avoid a lot of unnecessary price enquiry threads. It's been down for a looong time now. Make it a priority na ... :)
 
i cant help but sympathise with the thread creator with his frustration. The pricelist may provide as an important point of reference especially in terms of our very strong market system , one cant help but feel its a nessessity rather than a feature .

I would encourage the mods to brainstorm over this and passover feedback to the admins about this and have it expedited .
 
:bleh: We are all lazy ass staff members, even admins. It was decided that we would instead maintain a price thread but none of us really took the initiative. The price guide hack is as good as gone unless the admins change their minds. A thread instead would help with proper google rankings as well.

I was thinking of bringing this up again, so thanks for reminding.

As of now the plan is to maintain a comprehensive price list thread with each post containing a particular component. I'll do some ripping for categorization and prices. What I request from all members is to PM me the latest price of any hardware they come across.

This should be sent across to select people in the enthusiast comunity those have been identified to keep abreast of any changes in the market . they should be approached via PM or IMs ...

Posting it here is of no use , if this message does not reach the intended crowd :bleh:
 
Nah I just asked for the time being.. once I up the thread it would be put across to all of you.

don't know y but i was expecting this kind of answer from the mods...well at least somewhere u guys managed to live upto my expectation:tongue: :tongue:

the one thing that got me frustrated was that someone @ TT was updating the price list monthly but u guys weren't....

anyways,when can i expect an updated price guide:huh: :huh: ??????

NOTE:THIS IZ MY 50th POST and the best part is that i also got repped..woooooo hoooooo:hap2: :clap: :D
 
Before this week ends!! Saiyan is getting some updated prices from his contacts. I'll look some more places online for best prices. It wont be a completely comprehensive guide to start with. But it will slowly get upto speed.
