Monitors Plz suggest a 24" or higher LCD:Budget: $400

Hi guys,

I wanted to go for a 24" or higher LCD for my desktop.

I have a budget of around $400 and would be buying from US locally.

I have 9800 GTX with me.

I occasionally play games and watch a lot of movies.

Any recommendations would be appreciated.:)
 
Both those monitors are TN, with the well known limitations of that display type. Check out the Soyo 24".. it's an S-PVA.
 
^No. The 2ms response time is a giveaway.. no *VA and *IPS panel is that fast.
My mistake, it's actually a P-MVA..the Soyo Topaz.
It used to be P-MVA earlier, but now they're apparently putting TN in.. meesa confused :O
 
hey.. if your planning to buy it from the states.. y not consider a 32" full hd tv instead of a monitor.. you'll have to stretch your budget by another couple of hundred dollars.. but the extra screen space would be worth it all i feel especially since you watch a lot of movies.!
 
Curious - why would 32" be overkill? Get a 32" 720p model, 1366*768 native. That 9800GTX+ will run anything at that speed.
 
dude.. a 32" non hd would totally mess up the computing experience in my opinion.. if u want 32" it should atleast be full hd.. and yeah even i dont understand y it would be an overkill?
