mobo-asus a8n-e
Gfx card-
Hmm lets see i have 3 deals x850 xt pe /Sapphire gto2 or evga 7800gt
Have 1 Hard disk/2 optical drives/3 pci cards/2 ram modules

Umm how abt powersafe 500w.
I think its for 2.9k
The Vantec has higher rail ratings over the powersafe iirc. The vantec has 30A on the +12v line whereas the powersafe 500w has 24A on the +12V line (as last seen by me)

My rig is confirmed:-
this will be the rig i am going to have:-
opty 165
a8n-e
evga 7800gt
1 hard disk/2 optical drives/3 pci cards/2 memory modules
I am going to overclock the opty to say abt 2.55ghz max.

Now someone on TE suggested to go for antec tp2 550 watts.
But read somewhere that after oc the opty,at load the volts at 12v fluctuate between 11.7-11.8 on antec tp2 550.
Is it true?
Will vantec ion2 460w be enuf or shud i go for antec tp2 550w.

If you going to OC get the Tp 2.0 or Zebby 640W. The ion2 won't cut it imo.

Yup.
Rather i say get the NeoHE 500W.
6k. Better than spending 7.5k on the stupid TP2.

Do u get neo for 6k at lammy.
Also tell me gf isnt tp2 not that good since u dont seem to like it.
Does it have some cons?

Im gonna call Prime and see if they are recieving stock.

Theres no reason why they shudnt, as Antec are officially importing the NeoHE's.

Well, it has no Con's, but i like the NeoHE better as the NeoHE has 3 12V Rails at 17A's each. Which the TP2 550W has 2 12V Rails with 20 and 18A's each.

So id rather spend 1.5k lesser for a better product. Plus the NeoHE is Modular and it has Pre Sleeved Cables :).

Nope - Prime does not have the NEO - I asked him on Saturday. I wanted that one too - it will take 2 weeks minimum before he gets it as Gulbir is off to CeBit tomorrow and will be back after 2 weeks :) I picked up the TP2 550 instead.

Gulbir at CeBit ?????
What he going there for ?
AFAIK they dont display new ideas to rip off people there.

^^ Lol, Gulbir 2 Cebit...
Back 2 the topic : It depends on your GFX card. If your getting a 66GT/68GT a Vantec Ion2 will be more than enough.

If your looking at a 78GT/X I'd suggest a Antec NeoHE 500W or TP2 480W :)

2 weeks grrrrrrrrrr anishhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( goldie keya kareh??

Spoke to Gulbir - he says the NEO will arrive in about a week and you can get in touch with Meenal at Prime for availibility and price.

He also said that it would be "AGGRESIVELY priced" - his exact words.

i went to lammy today and found out that Powersafe has launched 600 watts model(dual 12v rail).
Here are the ratings:-
3.3v-24A
5v-30A
12v1-22A
12v2-22A
-12v-.5A
+5vsb-2A

Is this good enuf?
price-5k

The rail ratings are impressive especially the dual 12v ones. But can't say anything about the performance right now..........The pricing seems ok.
