PC Peripherals Plz Suggest a Wireless Mouse

My old (and crappy) mouse had gone kaput and its time for me to get a new one..

Some main points I would like to highlight -

- It would be used for desktop, so sized enough for my giant hands.. Avoiding small laptop ones.

- Next to NO gaming need.. so those expensive gaming mouse arent really needed. However, apart from general browsing, mouse is heavily using in post processing the photos.. so decent accuracy will be good for things in photoshop like lasso tool etc.

- Wireless... I am noob in tech wording so dont really understand the difference b/w bluetooth and wireless 2.4Ghz etc etc... However, imp thing is I dont need wires

- No white mice.. black preferable...

hyeah:

- Budget.. Best deal in economical price..

.. I mean no hi-fi budget, cheaper the better... Will be comfortable with something around 1k or bit more (cheaper also accepted

)

- No brand influence.. open to all..

So, plz suggest a decent mouse as per the crappy needs..

The Logitech Wireless Mouse M215 (~ Rs. 1,150/-) Or the Logitech Wireless Mouse M205 (~ Rs.900/-). But the M205 is Compact, so may not appeal to you.

I would suggest u buy the Logitech Cordless Desktop MK250 (~ Rs.1,200/-) & use the mouse only (Or use both the mouse & keyboard!!!).

Yes, go with Logitech M215. According to latest price update, it should cost you around Rs. 1k.

The best wireless mouse in this budget.

BTW, while checking logitech's website saw Logitech Cordless Desktop MK260.... looks sexy and nice combo for usage..

Do anyone have idea about its price and availability??

Never seen the MK260 but the MK250 is available for ~ Rs.1200/-

Logitech MK260 is not available in India, I think. You've to order it online.

Just go with MK215. No second thoughts for wireless mouse in this range.

Actually, the Logitech MK260 is shown on the Logitech India site.

But even my local dealer doesn't have the model & doesn't know about it. :S

Sorry for bumping the thread. another query came in my mind

though I am happy with my wired keyboard, I realised that since I process my photos in completely dark environment, it often happens that I press wrong keys while processing.

so is it possible to get a backlit keyboard and mouse (must be wireless) combo in something below 2k (or most 2.5k)

again - gaming is not the preference..

Getting a branded Backlit Wireless keyboard + mouse combo in that budget seems near impossible......

Prime used to stock some wired backlit keyboards sometime back but they no longer seem to be available.

Seems like need to rest with MK215 only... could U share any good online deal for this thing!!

also, some day in TE itself I read about glowing stickers for keyboard.. do they exist and could solve the purpose a bit ?? if yes, were could be found online??

^^i dont know about the glow stickers...but there is one JUGAAD, that you could do...(d thought just came across my mind while reading this and wanted to share)..U can use BLACK LIGHT..If the keys on the keyboard are white in color, they would glow..

PS- (this should be the last resort though...)

I didnt had any idea of black light..

the keyboard is black colored with white markings on it.. would it be working??

also, where the hell this black light could be found.. would be nice to use it for jugaads

Why don't u get a USB LED flexible lamp for ur keyboard??

Much simpler & easier than the Black Light Jugaad.

iBall produces some good ones known by the name iBall Lappie Clip-on USB LED Lights.

usb led lights are also fine..But the black light produces a reallly cool effect and it is great for photography too..

I have one at my place..got it for around 500 bucks(its a tubelight)..its been an year and it still runs fine..I use it for occasional use..Black light is the UV light which makes certain compounds glow..

And as for the white markings on black keyboard..ill check it under the light and let u know here...

Never god an idea of LEDs and this now looks too simple solution.

Thanxx again for the info.. did googled a bit and this black light looks really cool and creative.

However, the link U gave shows that only bulbs (or whatever called) is available there and I seems like I will be in need to make rest of the circuit.

unfortunately, I am a big time noob and 'fattu' in doing these circut work. :ashamed: avoiding it.

is there anything available ready made, just for direct use.

BTW guyz, any link for buying MK215 online at good price... cannot find it in TE dealers website
