Techtree.com India > Reviews > Mobile Computing > Notebooks > LG R510

also is the price diff. between 5738z and 5738 is justified?? i think only diff is. 1gb ram less and processor l2 1mb less....will that affect my needs?

also suggest me other brands within 35k limit........it looks like acer gives better config. compared to other brand which are in same price range:huh:

Your most important criteria should be

1. Weight: Since you are traveling from Thane to Churchgate.

2. Battery Life: Since you are a MBA student, you will spend long hours in college.

3. Reliability: You should expect the laptop to at least last you the 2 years in college.

4. Fast RMA: You depend on your laptop for getting almost all stuff done. In case of failure, you need quick RMA.

The ideal recommendation would be to get a Dell, 14 incher. The screen size is usable, its not as heavy and also quite feature rich to take care of most requirements.

Supplement it with an years extended warranty.

Buddy......You can go with any brand you like.....but at the end the day you get what you paid for.

Remember that Acer has carry-in warranty...i.e. you need to take it to a service center if a problem arises.

Most problems dont get fixed on the spot. So you need to leave the laptop with the service center. Then you need to keep calling them to ask if its fixed. After they intimate you, you need to again travel to the service center and pick it up.

On many occasions, the laptop is not fixed. So you do the same thing again. Travel and give and then keep following and then again travel and pick it up.

Trust me its not the worth the 2k you save.

Get a Dell, not that Acer is bad, but Dell's NBD ( Next Business Day) service is way way far better.

I have both the Acer and the Dell

In fact I have taken an extended warranty on the Dell, as laptop parts are insanely expensive to replace.

what is current price of acer 5738z at lamington anyone have idea? i can also get ebay from same for rs. 26.5k after applying 1000 off coupon.....
