Benchmarks of LG's Tegra-3 Phone X3 Leaked
There has been great speculation about Quad-core Tegra-3 powered devices which will be unveiled at the upcoming MWC . One of these devices is LG's X3 which is rumored to sport some impressive specs including 4.7" HD screen , 1.4Ghz Quad core processor , 8MP camera rear and 1.3MP front camera , 2000MAh battery and Android ICS out of the box . Recently some Quadrant benchmark screenshots of the LG X3 were posted showing an astounding score of 4412 points , which is more than double of current ICS flagship , the Galaxy Nexus . With such huge performance and impressive specs , this phone could definitely improve LG's position in the smartphone market .

LG Announces Optimus Vu with 5" Display
LG has announced its competitor the Samsung Galaxy Note - the Optimus Vu , sporting a 5" IPS LCD display and powered by 1.5GHz Dual-core CPU . The display has 1024x768 resolution with 4:3 aspect ratio which makes the devices wider ( 90.4mm compared to 83mm of Galaxy Note ) .However its much thinner ( just 8.5mm ) . Other than that the device has 32GB internal memory , 8 megapixel rear camera with auto-focus and LED flash, 1.3 megapixel front camera, LTE, HDMI, DLNA, Wi-Fi Direct and T-DMB and a 2,080 mAh battery . It will be launched with Gingerbread but soon ICS update will be rolled out . It will be available with South Korean carriers in early march , however pricing is unknown yet .

Apple is working on notebooks that will use ARM chip , says Piper Jaffray analyst Gus Richard . A research note from analyst said that Apple is working on laptop which will use internally designed chip , this might be risk for Intel . However , the analyst says that whether Apple uses these in commercial products remains to be seen ..
Currently Apple uses ARM based chips in its iPhone 4S and iPad 2 , which are power efficient but less performing than Intel . But the coming iPad 3 is expected to use upgraded A series ARM based chip with higher performance . Since the ARM design chips are becoming more powerful with every generation , its quite possible Apple might want to use them in notebooks as well .

The antennagate lawsuit against Apple has been settled and Apple is required to give either a $15 cash or a bumper case to its iPhone 4 buyers in US. Microsoft Reveals New Windows 8 Logo
Microsoft has reveled new logo for upcoming Windows 8 , its a four pane window rather than flag used for the previous Windows versions , similar to the original Windows 1.0 . The designs were published by a chinese site cnBeta and confirmed by theverge . The new logo design follows the metro styling found in Windows 8 and instead of four colored panes , uses single color .

Windows Phone Tango To Have Restrictions On Devices With 256MB RAM
Windows Phone Tango is will enable devices with lower specs to run Windows Phone , but it will have some limitations on devices with lower specs . Russian site WP7forum tested Tango on a dev phone ( HTC Mazza ) , they found that the devices with 256MB ram ( current minimum for WP is 512MB ) wont support all apps . Also third-party Live tiles won't update automatically . Further the devices with less 256MB ram will not play videos with bitrate greater than 4Mbps, Podcasts cannot be managed on phone , and photos cannot be uploaded to SkyDrive automatically .
