point to point connection via internet?!

Me and my friend want to share some files using internet. I wanted to know if there is a way by which we can connect to each other via internet so that we can have our own private file sharing..We live physically quite far, and would like to use such service/app if any so as to share files which otherwise we can't share on a regular basis.

you need VPN.

VPN configuration is little hard. so use software call HAMACHI. Hamachi : Stay Connected

Through it you and your friend can use each others shared drive/folder just like your own hdd (if internet spped is good enough).

This software can be used not only with 2 friends but actually n-numbers of friends.

Use the direct connect feature on limewire. Just share the files you want on limewire, and put in your frnd's ip... thats it ur ready to go. And it's quite fast.
