Pokemon is one of the world's biggest cartoon franchises, counted amongst the likes of the legendary and uber popular Dragon Ball Z series among others. Since it's inception all the way back in 1998 as a TV show and a Gameboy Color game, to Gameboy Advance, Nintendo DS and more, Pokemon has been a huge seller in it's game franchise as well. However, the entire series of games have been limited to a an isometric (earlier nearly top down) view since the first game (to the latest Black & White 2 for the DS/3DS as well). Numerous ports were made to PC, but they never came close to giving the same experience. Either that, or Nintendo would take them down legally. Well, this project made by just one person, titled Pokemon 3D seems to be alive and kicking, and doing a great job at that as well. Have a look for yourself.
Pokemon 3D
Pokemon in full 3D has been a fantasy for all Pokemon enthusiasts who have spent countless hours playing the game, either on their old Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance (SP) or Nintendo DS(i). There were some versions for the Nintendo Gamecube as well, but none became as popular as the versions for the handheld console.
Developer nilllzz has taken up the task to make our dreams come true. Behold, Pokemon in 3D on your Windows (sorry Mac and Linux community, you gotta wait longer for this). Now here are a few things before you jump to any conclusions:
The game is developed using Microsoft's XNA Studio and is currently only for Windows Platform (works on Windows 8 too without any hitches, checked and confirmed).
Developer - nilllzz
First and foremost, we have the developer's website. You can find him over here:

Indie DB
The game is uploaded (at least the launcher) on Indie DB servers and is a participant for Indie DB IOTY (Indie Game of the Year) award. Do register and vote if you play the game and feel that it deserves the title.

Download the Game
You can't really download the game directly. You have to download the launcher, which automatically download the latest version of the game. Game files weigh in at about 13.8 MB (currently, may increase with more and higher quality assets, if and when they happen).

Alternate Download Links
In case you are unable to download the game via the Launcher tool, don't fret. The game files have been uploaded to multiple file sharing websites. The links are given below.
Dropbox
SugarSync
Mediafire
Wuala
That should do it. In case you still are unable to download the game, have patience (and poor you, you got some really bad luck 'eh).
Screenshots from the game
In the slideshow, you'll find in-game screenshots. Please excuse the 1998 style graphics. You can have only one thing at a time (Pokemon or high end Graphics, Pokemon I choose you!).

Troubleshooting
Many people have reported that the game refuses to start on their computers, that the launcher simply exits after you hit the Launch button. Well, the simple issue is that you need to install Microsoft Dot Net 4 Framework as well as Microsoft XNA Studio. You can download them by clicking on Troubleshoot from within the launcher, upon which you'll be redirected to Microsoft's download page.
Alternatively, you can go to the link directly from here.

- This isn't a Crytek title, don't go looking for graphics
- If you played Minecraft, I think you'll be fine with it
- The game is buggy and far from incomplete, please don't whine or complain while playing it
- Go ahead and DOWNLOAD it ALREADY!
