PC Peripherals Popcorn Hour or WD HDTV

I am looking to buy a network Media player, I have shortlisted the Popcorn Hour and the WD HDTV, from what I understand the WD HD cannot be connected to the network and you cant install an internal HDD is that correct ? If so I am going for Popcorn Hour,
Now is it better to buy one here in delhio or pick up one when I am in Singapore ?:huh:
 
Correct on part 1.

There are hacked FWs out for the WD, allowing it to be connected to a network.

Get it from Delhi - local warranty on both.
 
AFAIK popcorn hour isn't available here, you have to order online, it is shipped from china

A friends bought one 5-6months ago, shipping was via DHL I think, also got slapped with 1.5-2k duty
 
DAMN ... 2 K in duty abt 1 K in shipping and then the cost of the POPCORH hour which is ~ 250 US -12500 hmmm gotta look up the pricing in singapore
